Purpose Of This Site

This website celebrates the life of the Peace River, gratefully acknowledges the diversity it nourishes, and seeks human support to protect and sustain all that depends on it. We invite you to explore the Peace River with us, learn about its history, and discover why we love it so much. Examine some of the flora and fauna that flourish here, and find out more about the industries that depend on the mighty Peace River. Weigh the costs and benefits of two BC Hydro dams that already harness this vital resource. Look in on some local residents, whose livelihoods and homes have been held in captive abeyance by the over 30-year threat of yet another new dam, Site C. Find out why Site C is not wanted - OR NEEDED. Then, take action with us.

Send a free e-postcard to friends. Read our latest news. Write a letter to politicians. Send a PVEA advocate an email. Become a member of the Peace Valley Environment Association (PVEA). Make suggestions for new ways to spread our message and strengthen our position. Any action is better than no action.

Please help us Protect the Peace.
